Organic Program

When selecting an organic lawn care program, be sure to research the products your company uses. Many companies use organic-based products which are simply traditional nitrogen based fertilizer with organic fillers. This type of product defeats the purpose of selecting an organic program. Our Organic Program is based on four application of 100% natural,organic fertilizer. We make two applications of Corn Meal Gluten in early spring and early fall before typical weed proliferation as well as two applications of fairway-grade Milorganite in early summer and fall. Core aeration visits are scheduled alongside the fertilizer applications to aid in optimum air and nutrient in the root zone. This program is very successful when continued for two to three years, but will not provide the same level of immediate weed-control as do Traditional Programs.. Please note that most organic forms of weed-control are pre-emergent (meaning they will help prevent weed seed germination) but will have little effect on weeds that have already germinated. It is for this reason that we encourage clients to stay with the program for several years in order to see the benefits.
